Punjab Bike Scheme Latest Update For Applicants [2024]

One of the major benefits of the Punjab e-Bike Scheme is that it will give over 8 lakh students in the province access to rides. Of the 11,676 gasoline bikes available, 7,324 will be assigned to female students. Major cities would be eligible to apply for this initiative, including Multan, Bahawalpur, Lahore, and Faisalabad.

According to the PM’s Plan for Distribution of Bikes, 20,000 Bikes are to be distributed among the students who apply for the E-Bike Scheme in 2024. 

  • 11,676 Petrol Bikes For Male Students

  • 700 Electric Bikes  For Male Students
  • 300 Electric Bikes For Female Students

Who is eligible to apply for the 2024 Punjab Motorcycle Scheme?

  • A candidate cannot be younger than eighteen.
  • An applicant must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at a college or university that HEC has officially acknowledged.

The following information about the co-borrower/guarantor (parents, brother-sister, or siblings of the prospective student) must be entered:

  • Details of Income and Personal Data.
  • a list of all loans ever taken out, together with information on their status and monthly installments.

Keep in mind that if the student has a source of income on his own and no guarantor is involved, he is considered the “Primary Borrower.”

Required Documents For The Motor Bike Registration 

Following is the list of important Paperworks needed for your registration to be completed Smoothly: 

  • Your Residential Certificate and your National Identity Card.
  • Your driving license.
  • The checkbook of the guarantor and their legitimate National Identity Card.
  • Pictures of your academic credentials.
  • 200 rupees was spent on a written statement.

The Bank of Punjab (BOP) will provide an installment plan to each accepted candidate. The candidate has to employ that tactic. If they wish to pay off the loan in full sooner, they may choose to do so after speaking with the BOP.

Note: The bike’s registration fee is not included in the mentioned price. The cost of the bike’s insurance is, however, covered by the payment/installment plan.

Punjab E-Bike Scheme: Regional Quota Details

The Punjab government has set aside a specific amount for students from both urban and rural areas based on the equitable distribution approach. 30% of the bikes will go to girls and 70% to boys in rural areas; 50% of the bikes will be given to boys and girls in urban areas.
