WFP Leads Benazir Nashonuma to Combat Stunting in PLW and Children
The primary setting up partner for Benazir Nashonuma is the World Food Programme (WFP). The program’s goal is to reduce stunting in PLW and their under-two-year-old children by giving BISP beneficiary families extra money every quarter for Rs 2,000 for male children and PKR 2,500 for female children.
In exchange, women must eat specialized nutritious food (SNF), take their unborn children for routine checkups and vaccinations, and attend frequent prenatal health checkups and awareness seminars.
