ایک سو اکتیس گریجویٹ اسکولوں، سولہ میڈیکل اسکولوں، پچاس سرکاری یونیورسٹیوں، اور ممتاز نجی یونیورسٹیوں کے طلباء سبھی اس اقدام سے مستفید ہوں گے۔ ایک اندازے کے مطابق اگلے چار سالوں میں ایک لاکھ 20 ہزار طلباء وظائف سے مستفید ہوں گے، جس کی کل تخمینہ مالیت 130 ارب روپے ہے۔

Students from 131 graduate schools, 16 medical schools, 50 public universities, and prestigious private universities will all benefit from the initiative.

An estimated 120,000 students will benefit from the scholarships over the next four years, with a total estimated value of Rs 130 billion.

Eligibility Criteria For Honhaar Scholarship Program

To get a Scholarship through the government Free Education program, a person has to meet the following requirements so that their application can be approved:

  • Age Limit: Not be older than 22 years of age on closing date
  • Family Income: The annual income should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
  • Residency: Applicants must show proof of residency and be Punjab permanent residents.
  • Selective Universities: In the fall of 2024, the applicant must be enrolled in one or more selected disciplines at one or more selected universities or colleges. The scholarship program will also be open to newly enrolled BDS and MBBS students in 2024.
  • Academic Performance: Minimum FSc./Intermediate marks:
  • Medical Colleges > 80%
  • Top Universities > 80%
  • Public Sector Universities > 75% for Sciences and > 70% for Arts and Social Sciences
  • HED Colleges > 65% for Sciences and > 60% for Arts and Social Sciences
