During his Speech in the Assembly for Sindh 2024-25 Budget, the Chief Minister of Sindh announced a new and beneficial scheme for the Poor community of Sindh which included Mazdoors and Kisan, who are in really bad conditions nowadays. He announced that the Sindh government had introduced the “Benazir Hari Card” for the first time in the history of the province, for which from the new budget of Sindh Rs 13 Billion has been allocated for the “Benazir Hari Card”.

788,000 Farmers Can Register for Hari Card 

According to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, all farmers, regardless of the size of the land, will receive financial support from the province administration. He stated that in less than a month, the registration process for roughly 788,000 of the 1.2 million farmers with land that is 12.5 acres or smaller will be finished.

Rs 8 Billion is Allocated For Benazir Mazdoor Card – Budget 2024-25

The Budget has not only saved for farmers but also consider the Poor labor Community or “Mazdoor Tabqa” of Sindh who have very low daily wages and can not complete all their necessities of life in it, therefore a further proposal from the Sindh government is to introduce the “Benazir Mazdoor Card” for laborers who are registered with the labor department. For the successful execution of this scheme, Rs. 5 billion has been set aside from the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) for the upcoming fiscal year 2024–2025.

You should keep in mind that only workers who are registered with the labor department are eligible to own the Benazir Mazdoor Card, as the registration process for these cards will begin in the following fiscal year starting in July 2024.

  • Employment injury grant
  • Iddat compensation
  • Maternity coverage
  • Death grant
  • Disablement gratuity/pension

  • Workers welfare fund cash grants
  • Marriage grant
  • Education grants or scholarships

Rs 500 Million Allocated For Benazir Women Agriculture Worker Program

The establishment of the Benazir Women Agriculturist Program is a new relief for all the working women on farms who will benefit from it in the FY 2024–2025. How is it feasible that the Benazir Income Support program would not offer any initiatives for Women in Sindh?

The Chief Minister announced that the Benazir Women Agricultural Workers Program has been allocated Rs. 500 million. According to him, women’s empowerment is the solution to social injustices and they are essential to the economic growth of their provinces. He thought that this approach would raise the living conditions and agricultural yield for rural women who work in the agricultural industry.

Sindh Govt Unveils Major Inclusive Initiative for Differently-Abled Children

Additionally, the Sindh government has unveiled a significant program for kids with disabilities. According to Murad Ali Shah, the government of Sindh is initiating an initiative to create an inclusive enclave for individuals with disabilities. The enclave will be a large complex covering an area of around 80 acres and will have sports facilities, schools, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.

Punjab Dost Package 2024 – Govt Allocate Rs 60.6bn

The first budget of the Maryam Nawaz Sharif-led Punjab government was published on Thursday, and it included an extraordinary Rs842 billion annual development plan (ADP). They announced the New Kisan Dost Package, for which over 60 billion rupees were set aside, in their budget speech.
